I phoned ABSA loans and did an application with them over the phone; from which a text message was immediately sent to me.. Saying * My loan application was provisionally approved and i should sent through supporting documents*.. Which were sent to them, within an hour and i received confirmation that, all docs were received in good order.
To my SURPRISE two days later, i got another SMS from ABSA informing me that *I DO NOT MEET ONE / MORE OF THEIR MINIMUM CREDIT CRITERIA*..
1) I HAVE ENOUGH DISPOSABLE INCOME AFTER MY DEDUCTIONS AND MONTHLY COMMITMENTS
2) I HAVE A GOOD CREDIT RATING / CREDIT SCORING
3) I HAVE AN EXISTING HOME LOAN WHICH HAVE NO INSTALMENTS DEFAULTS
4) I HAVE NO "adverse / judgements / instalment defaults" NEVER DECLARED INSOLVENT
5) I HAD AN ABSA LOAN 3 - YEARS AGO - WHICH I SETTLED BEFORE TIME / IN ADVANCE.
According to the OMBUDSMAN "Any responsible institution which deny`s a consumer, credit - MUST give a details report / feedback / valid reason for such outcome"... Well, I suppose ABSA BANK FEELS SOME WHAT EXCLUDED FROM ADHERING TO SUCH!!!
How can I not qualify for A MERE PERSONAL LOAN?
I was a banker for 5 years, i know about the NCA requirements!!
