DISGUSTING SERVICES FROM ABSA

We have been clients of Absa for years and have had our current bond with them for 7 years. So before putting our home on the market, we contacted the home loans area to find out if we would prequalify for a bond. We didnt want to be in a situation where we sold our house and couldnt get another home loan from our bank. They came back with the response that they had prequalified us for a home loan. We consequently received an offer on our home, put in an offer on another home and then sent through all our paperwork to Absa (Victoria Forbes). It has been 3 weeks from where Absa first declined our application for the reason that my husband's standard bank account didnt receive the bulk of his money and they could not link where we were referencing to his income. I was shocked at this incompetency as Absa had our bank account details and we banked with them. How could they not know where the money was going? They apologised and said they would recredit our application and provide feedback. We heard today that they had declined our application and gave us no reason. We are closing our accounts and moving to a bank that appreciates us. Standard Bank gave us a home loan in 5 days.
