Towards the month end of July I called in to the personal loans department and asked them not to debit my two personal loans because of personal circumstances. The arrangement made was that I will make the manual payments by end of July and reinstate the debit orders as normal.
I do not have the ref number for that conversation but the gentleman I spoke to told me to use his name of which I have forgotten.
This morning R280.00 was debited from my account without my authorization. When I called the collections department to query this Zandile told me that there is no arrangement and that the personal loans department does not stop debit orders. I explained to her that I did and I did that telephonically yet she continued telling me that that is impossible meaning I am making this up??? I asked her to reverse the R280 debited without my knowledge as I have plans in place to pay my overdue amounts. What is more annoying is that when I told her that I will take this up she with attitude asked me with whom will I take this up with. That is the worst form of communication by an employee from a bank with such high caliber.
