My wife E J Keys had bought a car in the mid 90's which was financed through Bankfin finance (acc no 572 66843)..the car was a fiat uno Mia and we eventually sold the vehicle after it was involved in an accident... the original logbook was collected from the bank and the vehicle debt was settled or so we thought... last week my wifes absa account was debited with R5000 due to this account having a balance... after - 15 odd years they now decide to help themselves to her money... she has being banking with Absa for many many years and they had access to her contact details yet no -one contacted her to say the account wasnt cleared... how could the vehicle logbook being handed over if the account was not settled... now Absa is sending her from pillar to post and no-one is prepared to assist... how do we try and resolve this and get her money back... this is why I prefer to bank with Standard Bank...
