Absa always deducts a premium for our Absa Vehicle finance from our bank account for 2 years, the amount was always the same until today. The amount was loaded extra with R 669.53 this month. When I consulted with them Absa didn't want to assist me after I explained the situation to them and they advised my wife should contact them, my wife is working in such a industry that she cant receive calls or make calls but I arranged that she will contact them after 5 o'clock. My wife holded the line for 25 min then she got cut off and then called 3 times again then she only got hold of the Vehicle department. Then Absa advised that they decided she needs Insurance on the vehicle after 2 years and they have added that to our vehicle premium. We have our own vehicle Insurance that is much cheaper. Now Absa advise we can correct this but we must supply proof of Insurance and a letter, basically beg for our money then they will pay the amount back. Who gives Absa the right to deduct money from our bank account with out our consent? Why did Absa not consult with us but rather makes alot of work for us for time we don't have? Now Absa don't want to cancel the Policy they added?
