Retention of Card due to Technical Erro

This afternoon I visited Std Bank Epping Branch to draw money. The ATM Machine seemed to be taking a while to respond after I put my card in the machine, I tried to cancel the transaction to get my card back only to be told "due to a technical error your card has been retained - please visit your nearest branch".

I went to stand in enquiries only to be told I must phone the call centre, I did this and after being on hold for 5 minutes I was assisted but was told that it would take between 5 - 7 days to get another card.

I advised I was not happy with this and was told if it is something urgent I can draw money with my ID but only from Friday.

So much for "Moving Forward"- due to THEIR "technical error" the customer is left hanging for over a week and would need to visit a branch to draw money. They BETTER not charge for a replacement card.
