On the 20th of December I tried to draw money from one of the Standard Bank ATM but my card got stuck, I then called the help line immediately while still at the ATM. The consultant advised me to go to the nearest branch to apply for a new card as she stopped my card.By the time she stopped it R3000 was already drawn from my account from another bank, consultant at the bank told this means that my card was cloned.
I opened a case at the Centurion branch and was told it will take 10 days for the investigation to be finalised. I was given a ref no. 3544841 and was told to follow up o tel 0112274905. I tried calling several times and held on for over 30 minutes on each occasion I eventually managed to speak to someone on the 6th, she told someone will call me before the end of the week, to date no body has called me.
I am so dissapointed at this as I've been a loyal customer for sometime now and even have a bond with them. I am actually considering changing to a bank tha really cares.
All I want is just my money as they failed to protect it.
