NEDBANK CONSTANTIA: RUDE!

I waited 15 minutes in a queue of 2 people to be served; the woman who "served" me was the female on the extreme right counter at 2.15 pm. I was to collect a replacement credit card and she asked for my ID; due to bad planning I did not have it with me but offered my passport (expired, but irrelevant since I was not attempting to traverse national borders!)
On seeing my passport the idiotic employee burst into raucous peals of laughter and announced to all and sundry that the bank won't accept an expired passport as identification. Not only is there no logic to this, but the conduct of this employee was rude, derisory and insulting. When I asked what she could do to assist me she shrugged and burst out laughing again, even though I pointed out I'd driven two hours from our farm to collect the card. This was such a surreal experience and I was so astounded I simply walked out of the bank. In 40 years of banking with Nedbank, including corporate accounts, I've never once had cause to complain. The manager at Constantia Village should hang her head in shame. What a disgrace!
