I am a Zimbabwean staying in South Africa. In 2011 i opened an Acc with Fnb using Assylum papers. In 2012 i got a work permit from SA Home affairs that is expiring in 2015. Before i could change my banking details with Fnb from using the Assylun to my passport (work permit attached to it) i lost the later. I have got a new passport but Home Affairs said it takes about 2mnths to have my work permit transffered to my new passport. Apparently my Assylum expired and i couldn't renew it as i now had a work permit. Just before X-mas my Fnb credit card was. I went to a Branch in Soweto and they couldn't help me get a new card simply because my work permit hasn't been transferred to my new passport. I lodged a complaint with Fnb Customer Care and they reffered me to Carlton Br where i opened the Acc. After producing my new passport, expired Assylum, certified copy of my work permit and my contract with them all bearing my name they expected me to wait for almost 2 months till Home Affairs transfers my work permit to my new passport. I spend xmas without money yet i had more than R10 000 and now they have closed it. Pliz help coz they have closed it yet i have debit orders on it
