Failed Retention effort

I am a Premier Client who called the Credit Card division 07/06/13 to cancel my Gold Credit card as I hardly use it and don't see the need to be paying monthly transactional fees for something I do not use. I don't really like using credit and if I do, I usually clear my CC at the end of the month in which it was used. I spoke with Tsidile in the CC division who then put me through to Retentions. Was assisted by Ismail who tried to retain me by offering to link my CC to eBucks free of charge for 1 year and also offer me 5000 eBucks to which I agreed. Said if I swipe my CC I'd earn more eBucks than on my Platinum Cheque account thus I started swiping the CC instead. I called Retentions yesterday, spoke with Praven, told him no eBucks were credited into my account yet. He advised that my CC hadn't been linked to eBucks either?? He said he'll check with Ismail and get back to me during the course of yesterday. 24 hours later - NO CALL BACK, NO EBUCKS EITHER!!! I used the CC as advised by the consultant and lost the chance at earning eBucks as my CC is not yet linked, I could have been using my cheque card and earned eBucks!!! Will those eBucks be credited to my account too??
