FNB/Ebucks not paid to my account

A month ago I requested that I cancel my FNB credit card. I was then contacted by the credit card retention office offering me 3000 ebucks on my account if I kept my credit card active with them. The ebucks have still not been deposited into my ebucks account. I almost embarrassingly wanted to purchase something with my ebucks account. Lucky I checked my balance before hand. I get the feeling that this was just a ploy to keep my account open so my business could be kept with FNB.
