Settling Debt on Credit Card

I called FNB today to settle an outstanding credit card on behalf of my sibling. I spoke to 15 people and have still not received any help regarding the settlement of this credit card. After speaking to numerous call centre agents I was told that the account is with the legal department as it was written off as bad debt. I have tried calling the legal department for over 1 hour and no person has answered the call. I dialled 011 371 1212, a number that was given to me by one of the many call centre persons that I spoke to. When I dial this number, a lady picked up who was very helpful and I commend her professionalism, THANK YOU TERISA. However when I opt for Option 3 to speak to the legal department the phone just continues to ring. I tried this for more than an hour and the same thing happens. Terisa eventually put me through to the complaints department and that line also just rang. I am very disappointed with not being able to settle this account immediately. All I want to do is settle this debt.
