After cancelling/withdrawing my debt review services, the bank told me and my wife that if we settle the outstanding amount on my credit card that they will open up my credit card within 24-hours. Now the debt review department wants a clearance certificate from Key 2 Debt Freedom, which they say they can't send the bank the certificate on one account only, as I had 5 accounts with Key 2 Debt Freedom. I have paid off two of these accounts, of which one is my Standard Bank credit card. It still shows by Standard Bank that I am under debt review. I have faxed the necessary documents twice to the relevant department, who keep saying after many phone calls that they haven't received the faxes. We have checked the fax details, but according to them they have not received anything. It feels as if they just pass the buck and are going back on their initial statement that they would open up the card after settling the amount. This is very frustrating and shows a lack of integrity. The quality of service is very poor and unfitting for such a big company.
