I ordered an iPad through FNB and did NOT select 'yes' when asked if I would like to insure the device. Why would anyone pay a premium of R110.26 per month to insure a device worth less than R8000? (I can insure my MacBook for R35 per month, and this is worth more than double my new iPad - so this insurance is a total rip-off in any event)

When I am emailed 'my' new policy, of course I email the relevant department to insist that it be cancelled and the erroneous debit reversed. Apart from the automated 'a FNB Insurance consultant will be in touch shortly' email I have had no contact. Calls to Charlotte on the 0861 000 804 contact number reveal that their department has sent FOUR emails to the Insurance division and have had no response either. I was also informed that I was one of MANY FNB clients who had complained about exactly the same thing.

This policy must be cancelled immediately and my premium refunded, with interest. I would also like to be reimbursed for the time taken to address this shoddy service.
