RVN numbers must be send to new series of MTN num

I recently took out a new MTN contract. They have launched a new series of mobile phone numbers starting with "060". I went to the ABSA branch in Paarl to have my new number updated onto the system so that I can receive RVN numbers for internet banking. The helpful clerk where unable to assist me as the computer system could not accommodate the new series of numbers which MTN launched.

After speaking to the RVN4U department, the IT guys confirmed it. Long story short - I can not do internet banking. ABSA explained that it will take six months for the IT guys to construct the functionality so that the new MTN numbers will be accommodated - I'm no computer expert - but I'm also no - this tasks can not possibly take this long and I don't buy it. People design TV games in shorter periods than six months. I have been an ABSA client all my life - but honestly guys - your client service and the level of commitment that you have for your clients are seriously slipping. No wonder more and more people are heading over to FNB. I will join them soon.
