I sent a cash send to my son on the 25th September 2013. He entered all the numbers as per SMS as well as pincode. When it was time for the machine to dispatch the money, the ATM machine went dead. He waited for about 20 mins thereafter but still ATM didn't issue the money. I advises my son to go to the nearest bank to report which he did but couldn't be assisted because he was not an account holder.
I reported the matter to RVN4U as I was overseas then. There was no response for over 7 days until I launches a complaint with Absa Facebook team.
The response I received from RVN4U was they were unable to assist since I was not in country.
As soon as I arrived I reported the matter to the Absa branch in Pinetown. The escalated it to Absa Action line. I also reported to RVN as usual 7 days went pass without any response. Reported to Facebook Absa. Only then after couple of days I received a response. And it was a negative response. They stated that the money was issued.
Absa is do careless with client's fund.
