Update of new MTN 060 numbers for internet banking

I went to various Absa branches when I opened my new MTN contract, to change my cell number from my 076 number to my new MTN 060 number for internet banking etc. Absa said that the 060 numbers are not yet registered on their system and I should try in 7 months time again. After 7 months or more I went to various Absa branches AGAIN, like they told me to. But the problem still consists!
They were able to change my "Notifyme" cell number to my new "060" number, but not my RVN number?!?!

PLEASE assist! This is ridiculous as I still need to use my old number for my internet banking which is reaaaaally a shleb to maintain 2 numbers just because of my Absa banking.
