Yesterday I went to a Standard bank atm to make a deposit only to find that the atm didnt allow for me to enter an account number with letters in it, so I was forced to go in the branch to make a deposit. I got to the bank at 4:10 and literally waited for 50min to make a deposit at the extended hours service desk. When I eventually got in front of the queue I was told that they dont assist with deposits, all the tellers left at 3pm and the bank has closed. The trading hours by the entrance said 9am to 7pm and no where did it say the bank is limited to certain services at certain hours. And what upsets me the most is that the people at the bank saw that people were in the queue to make a deposit and nobody took the responsibility to inform us that we we were just wasting our time. Secondly I was referred back to the atm even after I told Tanki the atm does not allow me to enter an account number with letters in it. Then Tanki tells me that the atm doesnt not recognize new bank notes so I should use old notes? Really? And to put the cherry on top Sabelo had a good chuckle at the fact that we werent going to get any assistance. I was flawed! This is why I bank with FNB. Not impressed
