I have had my business account with Standard Bank for 8 yrs now. Thanks to internet banking, I only go into the branch a few times per year.
I went to Sandridge branch this morning to get a small cash float. Not only did I wait 25 minutes in a long queue at the tellers (there were only 3 tellers working), but when I eventually got to the front, I was told that they had no R10 or R20 notes! What bank doesn't have notes??
The teller told me that they were waiting for their order to arrive, but this was midday??
The enquiries counter was completely closed as well as they were off-line, but at least there was a sign stating this.
I left empty handed and very very frustrated! I feel that the R600 I pay in fees every month is a total waste when receiving service like this.
