I was Quoted for vehicle finance with dial direct and was happy to find out that they quoted less than my current insurer. I accepted a policy with them, to become active on the first of the next month. my current insurer then offered me a better deal and pointed out that their excess structure was better. I then called dial direct to cancel the policy before it became active and i was told that the payment would still be debited so i was given two choices, go to the bank and put in a stop order on the debit or they would refund me. As per their word they did refund my premium debit but not the admin fee. When i called them the first time i was told that a request for refund was submitted. I waited 2 weeks but received no refund. When i called the second time i was told that the policy was not cancelled within 14 days of the application when it was. The third time i was told that admin fees were nonrefundable. If i had taken the effort to do the stop order at the bank i would not have lost anything, but i chose to believe that i would not be to and robbed. i was wrong about that. Be warned.
