I purchased the Kindle Paperwhite Wifi, with Accessories to the Value of R 3599 from Groupon in April. I received delivery within the 4 weeks estimated delivery time only to be faced with the wrong Kindle. 3 weeks later the correct item was delivered, with the accessories. A stylus pen, a cover, wall charger and screen protector. However to my complete surprise, the value of the items was nowhere near the projected amount advertised by Groupon. Groupon stated I would save R1100 on the accessories.
The accessories are priced below from my nearest retail store.
Kindle Cover R799
Stylus R250,
Screen protector R150
Wall charger R150
These are what i was expecting from Groupon to the 'saved' value.
What i received were items easily available at my nearest China Mall, ranging from around R25 each retail! The actual value of Groupons Kindle 'deal' is R2350 NOT R3599. I paid R2500. Groupon in the only one who got a 'Deal'.
I am disgusted at the level of deception this company will go to. This definitely the first and LAST deal i fall for. The deal actually states you receive a 'Kindle case'. This implies you get a Case made by Kindle. This is false advertising most assuredly.
