I sent the following complaint via the Hifi Corporation website and received confirmation that it was received. No feedback yet received. The complaint is about false advertising in the print advert circulated earlier in December:
I refer to your advert for a 7" touch screen Kindle priced at R1, 399.00 which is marked as "Deal of he week" in your advert valid from 12-24 December 2013 (page 4).
I went to your Woodmead branch to see this device. It is actually the standard 6" non-touch screen Kindle that is for sale. There is a sign in store which matches the incorrect advert but the Kindle was not on display and I had to get a staff member to get one out of the back to show it to me.
I am disapointed at the lack of attention to detail and care that was put into your advert, especially when it is marked as the "deal of the week". I am frustrated that I specially made a trip to your store to find that this advert is misleading.
