My husband ordered a Kindle Reader through Groupon to give to me on my birthday. I received it on the 26th March which was 3 days before Easter weekend. Unfortunately I went in for major surgery the 2nd April (Tuesday after the long weekend) and was only able to work on the Kindle 2 weeks later.
The Kindle does not work.
My husband and daughter contacted Groupon on my behalf to ask them to please repair or replace.
Their response was pathetic. "no replacement or repair will be done. They will take the Kindle back and get this... give me groupon credit for my next purchase".
My daughter questioned the credit and said my husband and I wanted our money back so I can purchase a Kindle. Their response was that this was an extraordinary request and 'at the discretion of the manager'. Yes, I kid you NOT!!
Lindo is the contact person and I am shocked at this poor customer service and illegal, unethical behaviour.
This is not the first Groupon has had to be challenged on their policy - but this will be the last.
Don't phone me on my mobile, reply via e-mail!
