Selection of wrong payment method costed me R700

12/04/2013 i booked flights & paid using instant EFT payment method (SID). Got prompted with a message stating i have 1 hour to make payment then my booking would expire. While busy processing the SID payment the page got stuck. In the meantime I received my booking by email which stated that Kulula was waiting for my payment. Conscious of my 1 hour deadline and considering that the bank details where on the email i received i decided to make a normal eft.
On Kulula website my booking was cancelled. I spoke to the friendly Thabisa and Simone on Monday who explained i could get a full refund within 6-8 weeks or pay R700 extra for the same flights.
Basically because i selected instant eft but did a normal eft i lost my booking. And on Monday morning the same flights were R700 more expensive even though i can prove i made a payment within an hour of my booking on Friday evening.
I understand Kulula's point of view and it is not their fault if the page got stuck. But it is not my fault either and i did my best to keep my booking by processing a payment within an hour and I feel they should have let me have my return tickets for the price advertised at that point in time...
