We booked a Cape Town-Lanseria flight online on 13 June. The credit card payment option failed (Absa subsequently said that the reason was a Kulula system problem) We then paid by eft within 1 hour of booking. The eft was Absa to Absa, so it went through immediately. We believed all was well as the online booking confirmation said we had 24hrs to pay. On 16 June we queried not having received the e-ticket and were told that the booking had been cancelled due to non-payment. On inquiry Kulula found our eft payment and re-booked the flight but demanded we pay an extra R125 more than the original cost of the flight. Internet booking is supposed to be easy and convenient.
