Allocated a different seat to the one confirmed up

I hardly fly BA and the experience was very unpleasant when I ultimately decided to give it a shot. Pity, I had an appointment I couldn't cancell and was given by BA an impression that all was systems go, otherwise I would have demanded a refund in the spot for their service.

I made the booking online, made the due payment on the spot. A day before departure (26/11/2013), I confirmed my window seat (21A) online. The same seat was confirmed when I got my ticket print from the self-check in facility at OR, at about 13h15 on the day of the 15h00 flight.

To my d! sgust and annoyance, when I was checking in my luggage, my seat had been changed to an aisle seat (22D) without any notification to myself. Why are we providing cellphone numbers if they are just a decor? The lady who assisted me said there has been a flight change (I DON'T GIVE THE BULL-DUNG, I SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED).

Also the "new flight" seating was identical (up to 27 rows, with three seats on either side of the aisle) as depicted on the online service. Why the did my precious time get wasted if my choice would not be honored?
