I am yet another person to be billed for presenting the wrong card. I have all my accounts at FNB including a cheque account that is eligible and a credit card that was at the time R600 short of the qualifying purchase amount. Being ignorant of the rule changes I presented the credit card at the front desk. It is only logical to me that a customer is eligble for free access not an account. Not so according to the FNB rules which state the exact opposite. What a meaningless and stupid rule. I appealed to the bank only to be told off by the helpline and the customer care centre. Apparently by being a user of the facilities I accept all responsibilities.

Heres the thing, FNB would have comped me if I produced another card from my wallet. Yet they refuse to see my point and assist. How tedious. My advice don't bother with the slow lounge. Its overcrowded and sneaky. Just pay cash at another lounge. Payments clear and upfront. Don't even get me started about the semantics of "access is a privilige not free access". What a joke when other lounges love cash clients.
