I spoke to a person named Ashley over the phone today to try and change a ticket I had booked. She was not helpful at all.
She quoted me that the fee to change my ticket was more than the cost of the ticket itself (Which was R1700). She quoted something in the order of R2200.
I obviously told her that this does not make sense. She got very offended and raised her voices whilst rambling a lot of nonsense which I understood in the first place. She "advised" me to buy the R1700 ticket and to just let the ticket I already had go.
I told that I did not appreciate her tone of voice and requested to speak to someone else. She then tried to defend herself but I was not going to talk to her again. When I asked again to be placed through to someone else she abruptly put the phone down in my ear.
I phoned again. This time spoke to a helpful person. I got my ticket changed for R1202 (R1000 less!!). Apparently Ashley was never even supposed to change this ticket as it is an open flight. I have sent this official complaint to Dawn Newman without any response.
this complaint is not on all staff but Ashley, specifically.
