Refusing to do a name change on an air ticket

I booked a air ticket to DBN for my daughter to join us on a boat cruise, and paid for it. She can no longer do the trip, and all I want is a name change so I can use the ticket sometime in the future, not asking form a credit or money back, just a name change, and Kulula just refuses. I am going to lose the cost of the ticket as a result. Simply not acceptable!
