My boyfriend and I bought tickets from Lanseria (JHB) to Cape Town and back. We had paid roughly R1000 each for our flights back. We were supposed to fly back to JHB on Wednesday 24th April. I called Kulula to change the ticket as we were extending our trip. The lady I spoke to told me that I would have to pay R1700 to change our ticket from 24th to the 25th same time flight and R1500 from 24th to 26th same time flight. Now that to me is an absolute rip off. How does it cost R1700 to change a ticket that I have already paid for. I then went online and called Kulula on Friday morning 26th April to find out how much tickets were for the 8pm flight on Friday and they were R1100. So it was therefore cheaper for me to buy a whole new ticket. So that is what we ended up doing, . We lost our ticket back as we were not paying that much just to exchange dates, and bought a whole new ticket with MANGO airlines at R1400 each. Cheaper than changing an already paid for ticket. Will never fly with Kulula again.
