Vodacom - Bad attitude

We purchased a Samsung phone from a Vodacom 4U outlet at East Rand mall and paid cash, no contract involved.

Trying to use the phone we picked up the following snags
1) The persons being phoned is very soft, you can hardly hear them with the volume all the way up.
2) There is a black line thru the aps, seems like a screen problem
3) We battle to get connectivity, where other phones connect directly
4) The phone also keeps on crashing, so we must restart it all the time.

We tried to return this phone as it is unusable and Vodacom refused to swap this phone or refund us, this is within seven days of purchase.
This means Vodacom is selling DUD phones and refuse sort out the problem. I cannot see why I must now send in a brand new Item that we paid cash for and wait for repairs etc.

With this attitude the Vodacom shops are basically dumping faulty phones (Samsung) on the public. They probably know that there is a problem that is why they refuse to swap it out - Only thing that makes sense to me?

My son had a similar issue also with a new phone @ a different provider and they sorted him out on the spot! So it is time for us to move all our contracts away from Vodacom
