Good day,
I took out a cellphone contract with Ismart two months ago over the telephone. I was not advised that the black berry 9320 had no insurance nore was i advised that Ismart would not be liable for any losses or damages to the phone, I pay R369 per monthfor this phone on the 26th of April on my way home i was mugged and robbed of my handbang which contained my black berry phone i could not block the phone as ismart does not have a24hour call centre and could only speak to them on monday morning. I spoke to a cnsultant to block my phone i was also asked if the simcard was in the phone. I said yes, i was then advised that i should do a sim swap and the phone is not insured. to my suprise. I asked the lady why as i was not aware of this and that since i am paying R369 a month i assumed there was insurance and why didnt i get a hard copy of the contract cause i would have not taken this contract up with them. Ismart failed to advise I asked to cancel the contract they told me i should pay R11399 cancelation fee or i should continue paying R369 per month for the sim card where i get R100 airtime. this is ridiculouse and is not right at all. please rectify this and make sense
