Vodacom
Incorrect information provided... now I'm to blame?

On the 31st of March 2013 I received a sms from Vodacom to inform me that I was now due for an upgrade. I had a few phones in mind that I wouldve liked to upgrade to. My first choice was the new Sony Xperia Z. I contacted the nearest Vodacom Dealer (cresta) and asked about the pricing of this handset. No one could provide me with any information. I then went on to call Vodashop Woodmead where I was given the handsets actual price. I went into this store on the 3rd of April to find out more... I specifically asked what the pay in would be for the Xperia Z on a Top Up 400 contract versus the pay in for a Galaxy s3. The sales lady, Margaret, told me the Sony would be double the pay in of the S3 and that the Sony would only be on sale in May. Based on this information, I went with the S3 as i could not jusify paying in so much for the Sony. I later found out (7th of April) that the Sony would actually only cost R50 more a month compared to the S3. I phoned the store manager, Sean, he said nothing could be done because I CHOSE TO UPGRADE!! I then phoned Vodacom Head Office and spoke to Blayne who said he would investigate this. It has been 2 WEEKS and i have received NO FEEDBACK!!!
