Vodacom
Refused to supply "free" charger as advertised

Vodacom advertised on the front page of their brochure book for a period expiring on 6 January 2013 that they would supply a free wireless charger with each Nokia Lumia purchased. I wanted to upgrade with this option and my upgrade date was also 6 January 2013. I went to the Knysna Nokia Shop on 2 January to book the phone and confirm that I wanted this deal. Vodacom employee Vissie confirmed that the charger was part of the deal and ordered the phone, because Knysna does not keep stock of high-end phones. The phone arrived on 15/01/13 without the charger. I had meanwhile visited the Vodacom shop twice asking for progress, and being told that the phone as per the advertised deal, was on the way. When I finally consummated the deal by signing the papers on 15/01/13 I was told the charger did not arrive. Vissie made phone calls and reported to me that the charger was a limited offer that had expired. I call it. If I had the resources I would sue Vodacom for blatant misrepresentation
