On Wednesday 16th January I called into the Vodacom shop at Midlands Mall to enquire about a deal I had seen on the Vodacom website for an HP Compaq CQ58 Notebook on a 1 Gig contract for R269pm. I was told by Melissa that she had none of these in stock but would have that afternoon. I asked them to please book it for me and also confirmed the deal as i wanted to upgrade my current contract. Went in the next day to sort everything out only to be told by the sales person that the deal for this laptop is R339 pm. She went to make a few enquiries and came back to say that Melissa said that she had never confirmed the deal and that that deal was from Vodacom direct. Nowhere on the e-brochure where I saw this deal did it say it was only available from Vodacom direct and quite frankly Vodacom is Vodacom. They should have honoured this deal as it was on the Vodacom website. This will be the last time I upgrade with Vodacom and when my contract comes to an end I will be having a look at what MTN and Cell C have to offer. I am tired of Vodacoms lack of customer service. All they seem to care about is how much money they can make out of you.
