20 March I applied at MTN Waterfall Mall for new data contract. Charles (@ MTN) indicated contract should be approved next day. Saturday came I had to phone to ask what was going on & Charles said they were still busy, from this time until 27 March I had to make about 14 calls from my side to enquire around approval (including 4 masseage left for Karel Pienaar, who never phoned). Eventually got approval, they couldn't issue the components to me as the store manager had to take in the stock first. After a big fight & being shouted at by the manager I eventually got the router & sim card. When I got home, plugged in the router and found EXTREMELY slow speeds. Applied to MTN to cancel the contract as I wasn't receiving any usage from the device (later found that they gave me the wrong contract), they said that if it was not a coverage problem that I would have to pay in about R2200 to cancel the contract. Call was logged with coverge (Ref: 0052748) with a turn-around time of 96 working hours. My installment is due 25 April & I still haven't had any usage from the product. I'm requesting MTN to contact me to cancel the concract at no charge, otherwise I will have to take further steps.
