Mobile router w/ data contract in no network area

On 19 January 2013 my husband and I visited 8ta in Cape Gate Mall to take out a specific contract: 5Gig on the Huawei router at R250pm. The agent assisted us and the contract application was accepted. When we tested it at our new home (Muizenberg), it didn't work. On 21 January, we took it to 8ta Cavendish to report the problem only to hear that there is no network in our area. The device is a mobile router, but according to 8ta's call center because I used Lansdowne for my proof of address it can't be used anywhere else, which was also again denied during another call to the call center. During -50 calls to 8ta's call center we were told repeatedly that a network technician would come out, & that the Cape Gate branch should cancel or migrate the contract (but migrating can only be done after 3 months). Speaking to a manager at that branch is IMPOSSIBLE - s/he is always out. Went back in to Cape Gate on 9 March, for the same agent to tell us he'll put a call in for a technician to CREATE a network and he'll call me on 11 March - I'm still waiting. Now how can 8ta give me a contract without checking where it will be used and continue to CHARGE me for something I can't use? ARGH!
