I have a 2GB data contract for home internet use. The software where I can monitor data usage does not work as the 3G device is connected to a router and not the computer directly. I therefore have no idea of data usage. I am told that they cannot put a cap on the data use unless I migrate the package. I am also not warned in any manner when the data cap is exceeded. The cost per MB under the contract is 7.5 cents. Once I reach the monthly cap, the cost shoots up to R2 per MB. I am charged this amount without knowledge or prior warning and consider this akin to. They also do not allow me to change or cancel the 24 month contract.
