Paying for a handset which is MIA

New account was set up in December 2012 for 2 Blackberry 9810 handsets with an MTN contract. Within the first month, one of the handsets was overheating and screen was freezing up, so it was returned for repair (needless to say no replacement as offered, even though the line was still charged and phone took 2 weeks to repair).
Once a new motherboard was placed, the handset was functioning for a further few months, with constant loss of signal, screen freezing, call dropping and need to re-boot a few times a day in order for the handset to function.
The other handset was plagued with similar issues during this time. In july, the first handset was returned to the branch for further repair. Again, no replacement handset was offered and monthly subscription continued.
I have become disheartened by the service of the Head Office by this point, as no agreeable solution was offered even though the employees in the branch were quite helpful. A few days ago I returned to the branch to find out what to do, as the account is still being charged for the handset, which they now have. After much investigation, the employees found out the handset was sent for repair only in MARCH 2013! WHAT AM I PAYING FOR
