I dropped my Samsung Galaxy in a puddle of water last week and it was not working correctly, I logged a claim with Dail direct and spoke to a Jani Morton on the 3rd April to report this, my handset was collected by CRS cellular repair services and i received feedback today that they could repair the Handset and the total cost was R1650 and my excess payable was R1050.. I really dont understand how that this repair center can repair a handset that is regarded as BER by authorised repair centres but they claim to be able to fix it?? I work for the same handset manufacturer and deal with these handsets on a daily basis and we know of the issues that arise from "Repaired liquid Damaged handsets" i pay for insurance and i have a warranty on my handset which is still over a Year... i could have just taken the handset to a nearby repair centre.. payed way less than a thousand rand to repair and have a phone that will work for a couple of months thereafter.. this is madness i want this handset replaced as i am not happy to pay that excess for a repair that would cost alot less... i have already have lost my warranty because of the liquid and Dail Direct Refuses to Replace.
