I have had the worst possible service from 8ta and Telkom mobile. From having my service interrupted to not dealing with any of my basic requests. Not only is the mobile service extremely average but the customer service is shocking.
I often have to call back several times to speak to a customer service consultant. When we get cut off, which invariably we do, they never call back.
I decided enough was enough and that I would move back to my previous mobile provider.
I requested my contract lines to be moved over to prepaid lines. Needless to say, at the beginning of the month when this should have happened, I was still on contract.
So after a few days I called up the call centre (180) and got passed from person to person and of course cut off many times.
I received assurance that the problem would be resolved and never heard back from them.
I called back and was told, after calling back numerous times after being cut off several times, speaking to several different consultants, explaining the situation again and again and again, that they could not get through to the person in Pretoria who was supposed to be dealing with the problem.
To date the problem has still not been resolved
