MTN PASSING THE FINANCIAL BUCK ON CUSTOMER

I RENEWED MY CONTRACT IN MAY 2012 AND UPGRADED TO BLACKBERRY. ALL WENT WELL AND IN DECEMBER 2012 MY PHONE JUST WENT BLANK. I THOUGH IT WAS THE BATTERY THAT DIED AND I PUT THE PHONE ON CHARGE AS USUAL. AFTER A WHILE I CHECKED TO SEE HOW FAR THE BATTERY WAS BUT IT NEVER CHARGED AT ALL. THE PHONE WAS JUST DEAD AND I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT WENT WRONG. SINCE I WAS ON HOLIDAY AND ONLY RETURNED IN JANURY 2013 I SEND THE PHONE IN FOR REPARES ON MY RETURN. TODAY I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL SAYING I MUST PAY R 1464.00 TO FIX THE STILL UNDER GARANTEED PHONE. ACCOURDING TO THE CONSULTANT SHE ISISTED THAT I LET THE PHONE FALL AND IT WAS PHYSICALLY ABUSE AND DAMAGE. NOW TELL ME WILL I NOW DAMAGE MY PHONE ON PURPOSE, WHAT A JOKE MTN IS PASSING THE BUCK AND REFUSED TO FIX THE PHONE EVEN THOUGH IT IS STILL UNDER GARANTEE. THIS IS REALLY POOR SERVICE DELIVERY AS I PAY MY ACCOUNTS ON TIME EVERY MONTH. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY A BLACKBERRY PHONE BY MTN BECAUSE AS LONG AS YOU PAY THE BILL ITS FINE BUT WHEN THEY MUST DO THEIR PART THEY PASS THE BUCK AND THE CUSTOMER MUST FORK UP EVEN MORE CASH. EXTREMLLY DISGUSTED BY MTN DIRECT SERVICES. NO THANK YOU FOR YOU MTN
