I phoned MTN Parkview yesterday for an upgrade on my contact, explaining that I was looking at the IPhone5. She advised me about the 16gb MTN anytime 200 deal. I asked her about the cost of additional data and she said that I could have bolt on data at R99 for 2gb, and that after the upgrade I should just call 808 and they would activate the data. I did the upgrade but when I phoned 808 I was told that the rate only applies to new contracts. Needless to say I am very upset! Had I known this I would have reconsidered my choice. It seems that each time I upgrade I have a really bad experience! I have been with MTN for 12 years!
