After 12 years of support, I'm soft locked!?

After changing my account to a new type of contract, Vodacom has soft locked my account. Now I have to wait 2 weeks for it to be unlocked or pay half my bill as a sign of good will?! Come on Vodacom, after 12 years of being a customer and this account staying in my family i have to beg to use my phone which has been paid religiously?
Please. Not on!
