MWEB is Money/Uncapped Throttling

Complaint 1:

I signed up for uncapped hosting as you get 12 months free with an uncapped ADSL account. My assumption was that at the end of 12 months the service would just expire unless I chose to continue the service and pay the monthly fee. NOWHERE in the initial sign up does MWEB clearly mention the billing amount or terms so naturally I was suprised to see a charge of R19 per month for the last 3 months.

Eventually I lost the battle to have these amounts credited despite the fact that I feel these charges are illegal per the CPA and just downright unethical. I did however complete the onerous process of sending the cancellation form. Receipt of the form was confirmed by MWEB billing however I am STILL BEING CHARGED!!! Not to mention the monthly amount has now gone up to R29!

Complaint 2:

My uncapped account has been throttled after 45GB of usage for the month which as far as I know is WAY BELOW average usage on an uncapped account. In fact I could purchase a capped account with a higher cap for less money. I don't mind being throttled but not to DIAL UP SPEEDS! I have requested an upgrade but it is only effective on 1 April so I basically have no internet until then.
