Vodacom
Omitting information is lying

On the 19/01/13 I received a sales call from the Vodacom sales department. The sales person said Vodacom was calling me to thank me for being a loyal client for so many years and they have been monitoring my usage patterns and have decided that there is a contract plan that would be suitable for me. This contract would save me money (according to the sales person) etc. I accepted the contract based on what the sales person said and I was very grateful that Vodacom would have such an initiative. Well this was until on 02/02/13 I tried to call my family in Lesotho and got a message that I cant make international calls on my line. I needed to call vodacom to arrange it. I called and was told I would have to pay R2000 in order to make these calls. I told the customer service rep that I didnt want the contract then because it wasnt worth my while as promised by the sales rep. I was told I would have to pay over R2000 to cancel to contract. I recently recieved my statement and called to find out more about it. I was told over R2000 would be debited from my account on 31st because of amongst other things international sms's. My phone is barred but I feel that the sales rep wasnt honest.
