I have been to four Vodacom branches with regards to the following problem and and am quite annoyed by this point.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3, I got it in August last year. In December the back cover started to crack around the camera. Please note the phone is always in a cover and has no scratches what so ever. i.e. it has NEVER been dropped.
This is NOT a cheap phone, hence surely you can understand my complete shock when I was told. "Your back cover is not covered by your warranty as it is an accessory to the phone". What! An accessory? That suggests that I can simply use the phone without its back cover.
Then in frustration I gave up arguing and said I would just buy one then, only to be told "sorry we don't sell them, we will have to send in your phone for 3 days to quote you on a back cover". That's a joke right?
If its a so called "accessory" why on earth is it not sold in your stores? Easy answer: Because its NOT an accessory.
Cannot believe Vodacom would use a pathetic excuse like that to not replace a cheap piece of plastic which pretty much costs them nothing at cost price. Not acceptable nor good service!
Loyal customer for 13 years, starting to get peeved!
