MTN's Warranty Fails

I have two contracts with MTN. My one contract, a BlackBerry 9810 which I a have for about 13 months has had a problem with the scroller button. I couldn't send the phone away for 2 weeks to be repaired and found out 2 weeks ago that I, myself, can go and drop the phone at the repair centre with a turnover time of 2 days. I dropped the phone off on Tuesday to have the scroller (common problem) repaired and the fact the the screen freezes when I slide it up, bearing in mind that phone IS under warranty and the warranty was not voided. I received a call back on Wednesday, from an unknown person because they failed to give me their name. They told me that the phone will cost me R2070 to have it repaired, as per quote, cosmetic damage?

Now if you work out the total of R330 for the past 13 months the next 9 months I still have to pay R2070 for a repair it almost R12000 for a phone that costs R5000 cash in the shop?

My warranty is in tact! Why are they refusing to fix my phone?
I will now put a stop on my debit order until this matter is resolved!
