Cell C
Blackberry 9300 BER

I bought a Blackberry 9300 in August 2012. Feb 2013 the scroller button would'nt work. As the phone was only 4 months old, I took it to Cell C Garden Route Mall to be sent for repairs. 3weeks later I got the phone back from Cell C and was told that the phone was "Beyond Economical Repairs" as it had liquid damage. I took the phone to a local repairer in George who replaced the scroller button and the phone is working fine.

This was my 2nd Blackberry 9300. The first one had the same problem with the scoller button that didn't work. This phone was just out of it's warranty and they wanted to repair it for R575.00 as the phone needed a software update. My question at the time was how could a phone that was 13 months old need new software and why must i pay for it? The samsung i had before that lasted almost 4 years. Apparently there was nothing they could do about it! I think this is pathetic
