I have been a customer of MTN for twenty years, however three months ago I forwarded an email to the accounts department I notified them that I am experiencing financial difficulties as my car's engine packed in, I specifically stated if I could make an arrangement to pay off the arrears. I heard nothing until two days ago, where I was notified that I should pay the outstanding arrears as well as a early termination fee as well as a handset fee. I was totally horrified I just burst into tears. I immediately phoned the number stated on the sms and I asked if I could pay the arrears, and still pay my monthly subscription up until it ends in December 2013, I will not use the phone they can block the line but it is unfair to all those fees. They could not assist me. I am totally horrified, I am in the process of cancelling my business account as I work for Eskom, I told Eskom what had happened, I have been a customer for twenty years and for twenty years I have been this loyal customers, and this is how they treat me.
